Meet the Team: Jesper Tornqvist – Country Sales Manager, Denmark & Norway

With extensive experience in sales of electronic components and cable systems — and a deep understanding of both the Swedish and Danish markets — Jesper Tornqvist joins SAGA Components as our new Country Manager for Denmark and Norway.

For Jesper, the decision to join SAGA was a straightforward one.

“I have worked with electronic components for many years and know the distributor landscape well. When Roger (CEO of SAGA Components) presented the opportunity to build and shape an entirely new Country Manager role, it felt right immediately. It’s an area I know well — but with new technology segments such as timing, which makes it exciting again, almost like being a beginner in a positive way.”

A Role Built from the Ground Up

As this is a newly created position, Jesper sees the coming months as a unique opportunity to define both structure and direction together with SAGA’s management team.

“There is no predecessor. I get to define the framework for the role together with Roger. It’s both a responsibility and a great opportunity.”

One of his clear ambitions is to strengthen the connection between Denmark and Norway.

“We are one company, one brand — SAGA Components. My vision is to bring the teams closer together, establish best practices across countries, and ensure we learn from each other. Monthly cross-country meetings and shared processes will help us build that culture.”

Why SAGA?

Jesper is clear about what makes SAGA stand out.

“In theory, it’s simple. We need to know our products, understand our customers, and build strong relationships with our suppliers. Customers choose us because we are close to them, adapt to their needs, and act quickly. It’s easy to say — but delivering on this every day is what truly matters.”

“One of our strengths is that we are large enough to offer broad expertise and strong partnerships — yet agile enough to provide fast responses and short decision paths for our customers.”

Market Developments and Opportunities Ahead

Jesper sees strong potential in both Denmark and Norway, particularly within electrification, energy storage, and the rapid pace of technological development across the Nordic region.

“There is a tremendous amount happening right now — from EV and infrastructure to defense and medical technology. These shifts will drive demand for many years to come. If we focus on the right technologies and the right suppliers, the potential is significant.”

“This is one of the most innovative regions in the world. That leads to new designs, new products, and new requirements — and that’s where SAGA can really make a difference.”

Focus in Denmark and Norway

Jesper brings long-standing experience in components, connectors, and cable systems.

In Denmark, he will focus on the customer segments where SAGA sees the greatest potential — defense, industrial, communication, and medical — while supporting the team in further developing business within these areas.

In Norway, he sees particularly strong opportunities in electrification, battery systems, and infrastructure modernization — areas that align well with SAGA’s offering.

“We need to work with the right customers, the right segments, and the right suppliers. If we spread ourselves too thin, we lose our strength. But if we get this right — it will be very strong. A lot is happening at SAGA, and I’m very happy to be part of the journey.”
